Sign-up information 2022

 

Online sign-up will open December 15 and close at 12:00 am on January 7. In person sign-up will open at 6:00 pm on Friday January 7, 2022 at the Ouray Elks Lodge #492 and close at 9:00 pm. If you are still looking for a Skier or Rider please come down.  Multiple teams are always created at Friday night sign-up. 

 

All competitors must attend in-person sign-up on Friday night to sign waivers, pay, and receive admission pass to the event. 

Junior Division  -  Free (Both Rider and Skier must be under 13 years of age)

Novice Division  -  $100 - Match/Draw (Skiers can only enter 2 times, price includes                                             match and draw runs)

Snowboard - $100 - Single Match (Boarders can only enter 4 times)

Switch-a-roo Division - $100 Single Match -Skier and Rider must switch spots each day

Sport Division  -  $100 Single Match (Skiers can only enter 3 times)

Open (Pro) Division  -  $150 Single Match (Skiers can only enter 4 times)

Skier / Rider Format

All teams in the Novice Division will follow the 1 Match, 1 Draw format.  For every Match team entered there will also be a Draw team created.  Draw teams will remain the same throughout the weekend.  Teams that choose not to compete in the draw cannot match for a second run in the novice.

All teams in the Snowboard, Sport & Open Divisions will follow the single Match format. Skiers and riders must have a complete team to sign up.  All teams will run the track one time both Saturday and Sunday.  Sport Skiers may only enter 3 times and Snowboarders and Open Skiers may only enter 4 times.  

Switch-a-Roo Division: Rider and Skier/Boarder will switch positions from Saturday to Sunday but must use the same horse. Switch-a-Roo will be single match format.

All teams in the Junior division will follow the match format. We will work to ensure that every interested Junior competitor gets a chance to compete.

**NEW THIS YEAR - Juniors time will be calculated to include obstacles and gates.
